About Me

I am a nerd. I've always been one. I love the research environment, the creativity in collaboration, and the satisfaction of making something beautiful.

My goal is to understand and design for complexity to realize a society where joy, love, and wellbeing are regular outcomes for everyone.I enjoy navigating complexity by merging seemingly disparate disciplines and partnering with passionate people who bring different perspectives to the table, whether from lived experience or specialized expertise.

I hold a PhD from the University of Virginia in Civil Engineering, within the Behavioral Science for Sustainable Systems program, and a Bachelor of Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on sustainability. I have been affiliated with the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine, Santa Fe Institute, Stanford University's Epicenter, and the National Renewable Energy Lab.Â
